This morning, I was praying for my mother when the bigger picture hit me:
I’m standing for those who can’t. I’m standing for those who won’t. I’m standing for those who don’t know that they have access to God, that they can have a personal relationship with God through the blood of Jesus Christ. I am standing as a light in the world and through His grace, I will plant seeds for a time of harvest where all who are in my life will have a real encounter with God.
As children of God, we are His examples. We are His representatives. We are His light in the darkness. And no matter what the world tries to throw at us, we can’t afford to shrink back.
Someone, somewhere needs what you have and you owe it to that person to give it freely. God can use you. He can work through you. Even when you don’t see how, God does. So trust Him.
What is the worst that can happen to you? Rejection? Embarrassment? Think about the apostles, the early Christians. They were murdered, crucified, beheaded, stoned. But by the grace of God, they didn’t fear. They weren’t afraid. They shared the Gospel so that we may learn, nearly 2000 years later, that we can find everlasting life only through Him.
So what are you really scared of? Why are you playing small? Get up and know that God’s grace covers you, your strengths and anything you lack. So walk out His purpose for your life. Illuminate the darkness.

Today, if you feel like you’re in a fog of fear, stop and get into the cloud of His glory. Put on some worship music and turn your heart toward the Father. When you praise Him, He shows up and lifts the fog of fear so you can clearly see the good plan He has in store for you!
